So Sony's next generation PlayStation 4 has now launched in the United States and goes on sale in Europe soon enough. If I'm honest I've avoided most of the buzz about both the PS4 and Xbox One since their announcement, mainly because I knew I wouldn't be picking either up at launch. Now they're both so close to launch in my neck of the woods though, I'm starting to catch up on what's what.
Over the last 24 hours I've been reading up on the PS4 in particular, if only because it's the first to hit stores. I've been watching plenty of video reviews too, and I've even ventured over to the Twitch iOS app to see what people are playing. Killzone, it seems, is the game of choice.
I don't get to play as many games these days as I used to. In fact, I can't remember the last time that I played anything on our Xbox 360, PS3 or Wii. The 3DS has had a bit of attention, but only because I can play that in bed or on my breaks at work. I've found myself playing more iOS games for the same reason. None of this has stopped me wanting to get back into proper gaming, though.
In my travels over the last day or so I've found one or two very good videos showing the PS4 off in all it's glory, so I thought I'd share them here1. It does indeed look awesome, and while I'm dubious about how well remote play will work, it may just have me picking our Vita up once more
Or not. Probably not.
